Are you feeling inspired by the energy of the New Year?
For me, the transition into a new year always sparks a feeling of excitement and possibility. It is a time when we can start with a clean slate, and a fresh page to write our story.
And if you are feeling behind because we are already in the second week of the new year and you haven’t started any of your new intended habits, PLEASE, give yourself some grace! I propose you give yourself the full month of January to review the previous year’s energy and get clear on what you want to manifest for 2025. Use the full month to implement these suggestions and allow yourself to truly step into a new routine!
Here is some guidance on how to most effectively utilize the frequency of the new year to manifest your goals for 2025!
FIRST ~ SET INTENTIONS
I believe the first and most important thing to focus on during this time of year is reflecting on the past year and becoming aware of what you want less of, and setting your intentions for what you want more of. Within your intentions lies the blueprint for the universe to bring you all that you are seeking. Even if you can’t see these etherial blueprints, they exist, but they remain obscure until your intentions are set. Get clear on what you want to embody in 2025 and what you want to complete, accomplish and call in. You can do this by doing a short meditation where you sit in silence for 3-5 minutes (you can set your timer on your phone) to just connect with yourself and to envision those things that you want to manifest and experience in 2025.
Write the list of these things in your journal. Think about the feelings you want to feel, the experiences you want to have, the goals you want to achieve, and also bring into awareness what lights your heart up. For instance, you may want to experience more balance in 2025. Feel in your body the experience of having balance. You may want to experience more gratitude, so in your meditation allow yourself to feel gratitude. Another example is you may want to manifest a trip somewhere, you may want to make a move, or possibly you are seeking to embark on a new educational path. Don’t overwhelm yourself, keep it simple, but write out the full list and include everything that comes into your heart.
Once you have the list you can review it and see what feels aligned for 2025. Maybe some of these goals actually are meant for 2026 or 2027. Feel free to rewrite this list in the order of highest importance for your soul. Spend some time getting very clear on these intentions. For example, what does it look like in your life, what does it feel like inside your body and your mind, what feelings are you feeling now that these intentions have manifested?
SECOND ~ LET GO
Now that you’re clear on that which you are seeking to call in in 2025, you can start the process of letting go. You must let go of old energy to make room for new energy! Let go of things, expectations, and especially the question “how is all of this going to come about?”. Focus on clearing and detoxifying your life. One of my favorite books to support this effort is “Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui” by Karen Kingston. This book inspired me many years ago to start “Letting Go” of all things that could be creating blocks in the positive flow of my life. This requires you to look at all types of energy including not just physical things, but also relationships, and thoughts that are not in alignment with your highest good.
I also suggest watching “Sparking Joy with Marie Kondo,” on Netflix, or picking up her book “Marie Kondo’s Kurashi at Home” for a step by step guide of going through your house and releasing things. This release in your physical environment will help to align you to receive new beautiful things into your life including all that you are calling in for 2025.
THIRD ~ FOCUS ON HEALTH
Bringing awareness to your state of health and focusing on creating greater health in your body is a wonderful way to take attention off of “THE HOW” when it comes to manifesting in 2025. Putting your body and your physical health first also supports the connection you have with your spirit. Consider this, if your body is bogged down with toxins and isn’t healthy and cared for, then your mind and spirit cannot be clear. Focusing on your physical health will help align you for your new intentions to start showing up for you with way less effort.
I recommend checking out the December blog if you haven’t already, and do a simple 2-week nutritional detox. I also recommend that you consider not just doing a dry January, but doing a dry January through June. Committing to removing alcohol from your life for several months in a row is a great way to assert your determination to live a healthier life in 2025. If this sounds crazy to you, ask yourself, WHY am I so attached to this substance, and challenge yourself to not let it control you or your decisions. If your system is really bogged down, I recommend rebooting 2 weeks each month for the next 6 months, in order to fully realign your body with healthier habits and mindfulness when it comes to what you are putting into your body.
In addition to this, include these simple lifestyle changes:
THE THREE 10’s
1) Climb into bed by 10pm every night. Getting to bed earlier offers you more restorative sleep and sets the tone for the next day. Living life with natural energy that isn’t sparked by coffee or stimulants is an AMAZING feeling, and it starts with good sleep!
2) Drink 10 oz of water in the morning as soon as you wake up. Add lemon and/or greens powder if you want to focus on alkalizing your system.
3) Instead of jumping on your phone right away when you wake up in the morning, sit up in bed and do a 10-minute morning meditation where you practice some deep breathing and set the energy tone for the day. During this short meditation, it is important to allow yourself to just be, without expectation. Just breathe, ground and feel a connection with yourself.
***I highly recommend letting go of clutter and doing the nutritional detox at the same time! Clearing out old energy from your home and body simultaneously can be a very powerful experience. You may even experience some emotional release as you go through this process.
FOURTH ~ VISION CASTING
Another fun thing that you can do to support your goals for 2025 and beyond is to create a vision board. You can do this by grabbing a bunch of magazines that have subjects that inspire and excite you and cut out photos and words that represent the future you are creating. Use a posterboard to paste all of your images on, while envisioning the actualization of your intentions. If this sounds like too much, you can create a simple drawing that represents all of the aspects that you are calling in in 2025, you don’t have to be an amazing artist, stick figures will suffice!
