In order to become who you want to be, you have to let go of who you have been.
Have you ever heard the expression that “certain things need to fall into place before other things can occur”? Or maybe you have heard someone say, “just trust the process,” or “everything happens in divine timing!”?
I feel like I have been living in a world where these expressions are constantly exemplified. Each day, I’m reminded of how it really is more about believing is seeing rather than seeing is believing. In my early 30’s, I worked on a vision board that included pictures of a home in Costa Rica, horses, and even a whole new wardrobe! Letting go of old energy and bringing in new. Helping people around the world heal and live a better life. There are representations on this vision board for all of these things, and I feel like I’m watching this vision board come to fruition in my life in slow motion.
This October, I leave for a trip that has been at the top of my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Even just a year ago, when asked, “if you could only travel to one more place for the rest of your life, if you could pick ONE place to go, where would it be?” and I said, “the pyramids in Egypt.” The Emerald Haven has been discovered and prepared for guests to come heal. The business is now aligned for me to be able to travel and help people, and the vision of learning about ancient cultures and herbal medicine practices worldwide is now coming true!
My desire to learn about these things has been long-standing. For over 20 years, I’ve wanted to experience different cultures and learn about the medicine practices that they carry in their heritage, and to bring this knowledge together along with what I know from Western herbalism practices- iridology, aromatherapy, and western herbal medicine. I’ve always believed this combination would be a powerful way to support people on their healing journeys.
Travel has always fulfilled my soul. It offers the chance to see how others live, fostering compassion, love, and grace for other cultures–and for ourselves. We can be harshly judgmental of our own culture and systems. Experiencing life in other parts of the world broadens our perspectives and helps us feel grateful for what we have while appreciating what we encounter.
You can gather gems of knowledge from these experiences, bringing them back to iincorporate into your life, energy field, practices, and into your own perception and paradigm. Traveling expands your soul on many levels, and I believe that by expanding minel, I become a stronger practitioner for those who seek my support. I believe we all have a divine purpose, and this is surely mine.
For many of us, discovering our purpose is a challenge. It involves soul-searching and life experiences to uncover the gifts within us. I felt lost for many years, pretty much all of my 20s and part of my 30s. Actually, until I opened Thrive, I wandered like a lost soul. I just kept writing down what I knew that I loved. I kept asking myself, “What do I love? What things bring me joy, excites me, and expands my soul?” I wrote down that I loved supplements, books, helping people, tinctures, balms, herbal medicine, homeopathy, iridology, and healing! I love bright colors too, and art and painting. I love music, and of course horses! I wrote that I loved traveling and learning and writing. I had written all of these things out in sort of a Venn diagram, connecting all these parts and passions to see how they fit together.
When COVID hit and the shutdown was enforced, I had an opportunity to recreate Thrive Wellness Center. I decided to incorporate the theme of worldwide healing into my business. We changed the logo from a tree with the roots to an ocean wave– fluid, transformational, and flowing. Some leaves remain to represent nature, but the wave represents the next phase: Thrive Worldwide Wellness! My mission is to make the world healthier by impacting individuals with far-reaching influence or through my writing, sharing, and expression.
In the original mission statement for Thrive, I wrote: “We create greater awareness of holistic practices and principles in our community and around the world. We are a pivotal part of the paradigm shift of re-integrating the values of natural and holistic principles into our healthcare system and world. We are a heart-centered company that offers holistic products and services infused with love. We are a fully equipped education center for teaching and certifying individuals in the art of holistic healthcare. We inspire individuals to take action towards being healthier and to feel empowered when it comes to their mental, physical and emotional health.” I wrote, “Thrive is highly respected and well established”, and “Thrive is a God-centered business. Thrive = Love.”
To clarify, when I say that, I’m not talking about the God in the clouds of one particular religion, not a God that creates division, or spreads dogma and hate. I’m talking about the God that exists within all of us, represented by universal white light energy. The all-knowing, omnipotent, collective consciousness that is present and forever expanding the infinite universe. The energy that we’re made up of, that’s the God I’m talking about. The one we can all relate to. It doesn’t matter what religion you practice. And, if you’re an atheist, it’s what you believe in, even if that’s just this present moment, or the power and potential of just one since living cell. If that’s as far as your God-centered consciousness can expand, that’s ok, it’s still present.
Those were the principles of the mission statement that I created back in 2018 as I was really trying to form what Thrive would be, and I always thought it was going to be a brick-and-mortar location or maybe a franchise of some sort. I wanted it to be more than in just one place because I wanted the message and healing and information to impact the world! I wrote down that my management team consists of the following members: curiosity, optimism, productivity, humor, love, belief, and enthusiasm. And of course we’ve got our corporate leaders, the angels, guides, higher self, subconscious, super conscious, God and ancestors also on the team here to support us on our journey.
The reason why I’m writing about this right now is because I have an opportunity to go and travel to Egypt followed by a journey to Greece. I had done a past life regression in my twenties when I first started studying at the Washington Institute of Natural Medicine. A place that I was taken to was in the Greek islands and I saw an experience very vividly. I know that when I go to Greece there’s going to be a piece of that culture and energy that I’m going to just know and connect with. Regarding Egypt, I always chose interesting halloween costumes as a kid. I was Cleopatra one year, I was a Geisha girl another year, I loved ancient culture growing up whether it was my fascination with Chinese and Japanese culture or with Egyptian culture. I painted hieroglyphs on the wall in my college dorm room. I wanted to learn about the world’s religions and learn about the history of Egyptian culture and traditional Chinese medicine at a very young age. So when this opportunity came up, even though I am at great peace in my beautiful home in Costa Rica, this was very clearly the path that I was to take.
It’s not every day, every year, or every decade that an opportunity like this comes up. I am jumping on the boat as it’s passing by, I’m headed towards the next version of myself and the business, I’m burning the ships, and I’m riding this wave and am very excited to see where it goes and what I learn. With that, I’m very excited to share it with you as I have these experiences, and I will be continuing to work with a select group of clients. I intend to really dig into very important projects that I feel are a part of my life’s mission and to return home with a completed manuscript of the book that I announced in January of 2024. With the energy of this Equinox and this amazing harvest moon, I declare that the next iteration of Thrive Worldwide Wellness is officially going to be underway and I am excited to learn the lessons and the information that is meant to come to me and through me for you, whoever you are reading this, right now… I may know you, we may have never met, we may be on completely opposite ends of the world, but I know that we are all put here as earth angels for one another.
Just as you get to be an earth angel for someone today, I know that something I may say is exactly what you need to hear, now or maybe a year or ten years from now, or maybe it’s someone who needs to hear it 500 years from now. I’m not saying my writing or message will last that long, but what I am saying is that every day that we learn and grow, we contribute to the growth of the collective consciousness. Every day that we show compassion towards ourselves, within our families and within our communities, we are growing the compassion of the collective consciousness and we are setting a frequency into motion in the universe that is making the world a better place.
With that, I just want to say thank you for listening, learning, following your heart, existing in awareness, stepping into the light, growing into your strength and power rather than cowering in a corner or shrinking. Even though I’m scared as hell to embark on this journey, there’s an equal and greater feeling of excitement and fortitude that helps me to have the courage to go ahead and step into this adventure.
